PM² – Europe’s Own Project Management Methodology Introduced to the Finnish Community

On 15 June 2026, DiscoverIT hosted the free online session “PM² – Europe’s Own Methodology”, inviting professionals in Finland and beyond to explore the value of PM² as an open, practical and recognised project management methodology.

The webinar presented PM² as a free and open methodology originally developed by the European Commission. Practical, lightweight and easy to use, PM² is well suited for public sector organisations, universities, businesses, non-governmental organisations and, in particular, teams involved in EU-funded projects.

The session targeted project leaders, professionals responsible for developing project management culture within their organisations, and anyone looking for a structured framework to support more effective project delivery. By introducing the main benefits and relevance of PM², the event helped participants better understand how the methodology can support project governance, collaboration, clarity of roles and improved implementation.

The session also encouraged participants to connect with the growing PM² Finland community, including available events, trainings and PM²-related resources. This marks an important step in strengthening local awareness and engagement around PM² in Finland.

The PM² Alliance is pleased to see the continued expansion of PM² across national communities and welcomes activities that make the methodology more visible, accessible and useful for professionals working across sectors. By promoting PM² in Finland, DiscoverIT contributes to the broader mission of supporting open, effective and common project management practices throughout Europe.
