PM² Project Management Workshop Delivered for DOTSOFT Personnel in Thessaloniki

A two-day Project Management Workshop based on the PM² Methodology was successfully delivered for DOTSOFT SA personnel in Thessaloniki on 19–20 June 2026. The workshop was organised by Human Asset with the support of PM² Alliance, bringing together 12 DOTSOFT employees for an intensive and highly practical learning experience.

The training introduced participants to the core principles, processes and practices of the European Commission’s PM² Project Management Methodology, with a strong focus on practical application. Rather than approaching project management only from a theoretical perspective, the workshop was designed around an interactive and realistic project scenario, allowing participants to experience the methodology in action.

The programme opened with a team-building activity, during which participants were invited to collaborate and “build something” together. This hands-on exercise created an engaging starting point for the workshop and helped highlight key project management themes such as communication, planning, coordination, roles, responsibilities and teamwork.

Throughout the workshop, participants worked step by step through the main elements of project initiation and planning according to PM². They began by identifying and analysing project stakeholders, discussing their expectations, level of influence and potential impact on the project. This was followed by an analysis of the project product through the development of a Product Breakdown Structure, helping participants decompose the project deliverables into clear and manageable components.

Building on this foundation, the group then developed the project triangle, working on the Work Breakdown Structure, Gantt chart and budget. Through these exercises, participants explored how scope, time and cost are connected and how structured planning supports better project control and decision-making.

Risk management was also a central part of the workshop. Participants identified and analysed project risks, assessed their possible impact and discussed appropriate response strategies. This provided an opportunity to connect the PM² risk management process with real-life situations and challenges that organisations face in complex project environments.

In addition to the main scenario-based exercises, the workshop included extensive discussion of real case studies. These exchanges allowed participants to reflect on how PM² can be applied to actual organisational needs and project contexts, making the training both practical and directly relevant to their professional environment.

Following the completion of this PM² Project Management Workshop, the 12 participants will continue their learning journey over the next four weeks with training in Agile PM² Methodology. This next phase will further strengthen their understanding of agile project management practices and support their preparation for the Agile PM² certification exam.

PM² Alliance is pleased to have supported this initiative and congratulates DOTSOFT SA, Human Asset and all participants for their active engagement and commitment to advancing structured, practical and European project management excellence.
