Following the increased demand, we have launched the new PM² Alliance Train the Trainer (TtT) Programme session. The TtT programme is comprises two Modules covering advanced training concepts in PM² and training methods.
The first module will be delivered online
between 16:00-20:00 CET on October 10, 12, and 13, 2023
and the second module
on October 30, 31, and 2nd of November.
Train the Trainer (TtT) is PM² Alliance’s own trainer development programme and is prerequisite for anyone wishing to obtain the PM² Trainer Certification. This intensive training covers a wide range of topics that span from the elaboration of the methodology’s tools and artefacts to adult learning theory and instructional design methodology.
The PM² Trainer Certification Programme is designed to equip the PM² Alliance Certified Trainers with all the essential skills to teach PM² at the highest level in accordance with the PM² Alliance standards so that in turn, they can educate their students in using PM² effectively in their projects and achieving the PM² Alliance Certifications.
Overview
This highly interactive and advanced knowledge and neuroscience-based workshop aims to prepare Trainers or Educators to succeed in the PM² Alliance Trainer Certification and become qualified PM² trainers.
Participants will be exposed to advanced concepts of PM² and learn how to design and deliver PM² courses to the highest quality standards of the PM² Alliance.
The PM² Alliance Trainer Certification enables PM² trainers to deliver trainings with maximum learning impact, enabling their students to:

Certification Exam
The PM² Trainer Certification Exam (30 multiple choice questions, 40’ online exam) attests a Trainer’s or Educator’s master level understanding of the PM² Methodology and their ability to teach PM² and prepare candidates for the PM² Certifications.
All PM² Alliance Affiliated Training Providers who offer PM² trainings must deliver their trainings through trainers who have attained the PM² Trainer Certification.

WHAT IS THE PM² PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY ABOUT?
PM² is a project management methodology developed by the European Commission that is currently being rapidly adopted internationally and offers targeted guidance and orientation that matches the needs of each stakeholder. It is a lean and easy to implement methodology suitable for any project type and based on operational experience from projects run within the European Institutions, which incorporates elements from a wide range of globally accepted project management best practices, standards and methodologies, such as the PMBoK Guide, PRINCE2®, IPMA-ICB.
With the Open PM² initiative, the EU Commission decided to provide open access to PM² Project Management Methodology beyond purely EU institutions and including Contractors, Member States, and all EU citizens fitting the specific needs of EU Institutions and Public Administrations. Opening the PM² aimed to enable better project management in Europe and contribute towards the increase in project management maturity within the European Union for the benefit of all stakeholders.
The EC has published the PM² Methodology Guide in an Open Edition, encouraging the PM² community to re-use, modify, improve, extend, and share alike their customizations. The PM² guide provides: a project governance model (i.e., roles & responsibilities); a project lifecycle (i.e., project phases); a set of processes (i.e., project management activities); a set of project artefacts (i.e., templates and guidelines); a set of mindsets (i.e., effective beliefs and behaviours).

PM² ALLIANCE
The PM² Alliance team promotes and supports the use of the PM² Methodology for the effective management of EU funded projects. Also, the PM² Alliance cooperates with Affiliated Training Providers (ATPs) who independently organise training and seminars on the PM² Methodology and its implementations. ATPs have been through a vigorous vetting process and have proved their ability to deliver efficiently courses and seminars on the PM² Methodology.
