PM² Training for Valencia City Council Staff

Valencia City Council Staff to receive training on the PM² methodology of the European Commission, October 21st 2022.

This post is based on an article published in Spanish at www.valencia.es

It is the result of a methodology developed by the Commission itself to standardize the processes, the language and the bureaucracy of those actors who interact with this body, which is in charge of granting and managing the funds from the European Union.

This methodology will be essential when it comes to obtaining subsidies and managing these European funds, which are helping to fund activities of the city of Valencia. Note that this training is normaly reserved for European Commission staff, but thanks to the efforts made by the Council, 25 municipal employees will attend a course on the PM² Methodology, given by the CoEPM² Ambassador Mr. Marc Berghmans.

The PM² is a methodology that facilitates the project work of all those organizations, both public and private, that seek to obtain financing from the European Commission for the duration of their projects. This methodology seeks to optimize the working methods and to ensure that the institutions increase the capacity to obtain European funds.

The objective pursued by the City Council with this initiative, which is part of the València ciutat de projects project , is to train all the actors of the city, both public and private, who participate in the management of the funds from the Union European.

It is a matter, therefore, to unify and standardize terminology, methodology and approach between the administrations and the companies that participate in the entire process from which these funds are requested, the purposes that the works or actions are executed, to increase the efficiency and optimization of the resources obtained.
