PM² Manifesto for EU’s Public Administration

In alignment with the declaration of 2024 as a milestone year for EU Public Administration Methodology Adoption, and our kick-off event for the transformative three year initiative, this manifesto outlines our collective beliefs, convictions, and commitments towards fostering a new era of project management and governance excellence within EU public administrations.

Sponsored by the PM² Alliance’s EU Public Administration Advisory Committee, this manifesto seeks to rally individuals and organisations towards realising management excellence across EU public administrations. Embracing the PM² methodology, we envisage a future where public administrations are effective, resilient, and agile, adeptly meeting the dynamic needs of the citizens they serve.

We, the community of PM² Alliance and stakeholders across the European Union, hereby present the PM² Manifesto for Public Administration. : 

BELIEVE THAT

the advancement and effectiveness of public administration are key to the European Union's ability to navigate and thrive amidst the complexities of modern governance challenges.

KNOW THAT

the adoption of a streamlined, accessible, and effective management methodologies is crucial for enhancing efficiency, transparency, and the overall quality of public services offered to EU citizens.

ARE CONVINCED THAT

the PM² Methodology, developed by the European Commission, serves as the cornerstone for modernising EU public administrations, and can set a global benchmark for excellence.

AGREE THAT

the year 2024 marks an important milestone for a collective shift towards embracing PM², leveraging its potential to transform public administration practices across the European Union.

COMMIT TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY:

by stressing the importance of including sustainability principles and objectives within public administrations’ management practices, aiming for environmental, social, and economic resilience in all initiatives guided by PM².
