International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) Adopts PM² Methodology through European Academy In-House Training

In April 2024, the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) hosted a specialised in-house training on Management and Coordination of EC-Funded Projects: The PM² Methodology, delivered by European Academy, a PM² Alliance Affiliated Training Provider (ATP).

The two-day course, held at ICES headquarters in Copenhagen, was designed to strengthen the organisation’s internal capacity to manage and coordinate EU-funded projects using the European Commission’s official project management methodology, PM². The training was led by Dr. Danijela Ćirić Lalić, Assistant Professor at the University of Novi Sad and a certified PM² professional, whose expertise ensured that the programme was both academically rigorous and operationally practical.

Delivered by Certified PM² Experts

The course was facilitated by Dr. Danijela Ćirić Lalić, whose extensive background in EU project management and adult training methodology added depth and real-world insight to the programme. Her sessions bridged PM² theory and practice, ensuring participants gained both conceptual understanding and practical application skills.

This approach exemplified European Academy’s commitment to customised, high-impact training solutions that address each organisation’s unique operational environment and strategic priorities.

Strengthening Organisational Readiness for EU-Funded Initiatives

By adopting the PM² Methodology, ICES has taken a significant step towards embedding a standardised, European Commission-aligned project management framework within its operations.
The training supported ICES’s mission to promote scientific collaboration across Europe and ensure that its projects meet the highest standards of quality, accountability, and efficiency expected by the European Commission.
