Panel on PM² Certifications: Ask the Experts

Watch the presentation video from the 2020 PM² Alliance Conference.
Presentation Summary

Over the past decades, Project Management Certifications have been sought out by the professional community with plenty of offers in the market.

The PM² Alliance has its own philosophy about its Certifications.

The PM²Alliance Certification Programme is designed and built on a very clear philosophy that positions the PM²Alliance Certifications as an incentive for candidates to invest their time in learning more about the PM² Methodology, as well as a recognition of their efforts, a reward for having chosen to do so.

All PM²Alliance Certification attest different levels of knowledge of the methodology, from a Basic level to an Essential, Advanced, and Expert or Trainer level. They certify a candidate’s breadth and depth of their PM² knowledge, from the basic to the more advanced aspects of the methodology.

Having achieved a PM²Alliance Certification signals to the market that an investment has been made in the direction of developing project management competency and that adequate knowledge of the PM² methodology has been demonstrated.

The PM²Alliance fair pricing strategy offers its certifications with one of the lowest prices found in the market for similar certifications. This pricing strategy aims to allow for as many people to get on board the PM² Certification programme, and through this, learn more about PM² and develop an appreciation for the application of the methodology in their organisations and projects.

As a non-profit organisation, the PM²Alliance uses all revenues from its services and certifications to sustain its operations, to generate new knowledge in the PM² domain and to further fund activities for the promotion of the PM² Methodology. Part of the revenues is also used to develop our Students Ambassador Programme and to subsidise student certification costs, as well as to provide scholarships for research in the PM² domain.

The PM²Alliance Certification programme is developed and managed by the PM²Alliance with the contribution of the Methodology and Certification Advisory Committee. The PM² Basic, PM² Essentials, PM² Advanced, PM² Expert, PM² Trainer and PM² Agile Certifications are trademarks of the PM²Alliance. All the awarded PM²Alliance certificates remain the property of the PM²Alliance and can be revoked at any moment given a non-compliance of the certification holder to the Code of Conduct of the PM² Alliance, or for other reasons.
