Nicos Kourounakis – The Future of PM² and the Role of the PM² Alliance

Watch the presentation video from the 2020 PM² Alliance Conference.

Presentation Summary

When the PM² Methodology came along more than a decade ago, it managed to capture the attention of the EU Institutions as a fresh, lean, and practical approach to project management.
It had successfully distilled the extensive project management experience that EU Institutions had accrued down the decades into a distinctly European project management methodology – a methodology that is now used throughout the EU and Europe and is rapidly gaining traction globally.

PM² makes use of common project management elements and best practices and facilitates improved accountability, transparency, communication, and collaboration on projects undertaken within and across organisations. It achieves a sophisticated balance of well-structured applied knowledge.

Open PM² is a lean, open-source, and free project management methodology that is community-driven and community-owned and aims to enable better project management all over the world.

United by the common challenges we face, we come together as a community under the PM² Alliance, committed to work together and avoid the mistakes of the past which lead to closed project management ecosystems.

The PM² Alliance has a mission to facilitate the creation and development of the business ecosystem required to support users and businesses adopting and using the PM² Methodology globally. It provides the vision, the leadership, and the organization needed to inspire, energize and organize the professional and volunteer community to act on our common mission, taking small steps consistently and persistently every day, all over Europe and around the world.
